Advantages of using Tableau Relationships over Joins

In the previous blog we discussed how to create Relationships in Tableau. In this blog we will discuss the advantages of using Tableau Relationships over Joins.

Relationships are a new way of combining data but Joins are still present in Tableau and can be used when needed.

Tableau refer Relationships as a Logical layer and Joins as a physical layer. The way they are implemented is slightly different.

In this blog, I have used the tables of Emp,Dept and Salary to explain the concept.
